I was really hoping our new AI overlords were going to stick to boring tasks that we will never have to do again. But they seem troublingly good at all the fun stuff too, like acting, making music, photography, art, and writing.
My vision of the future was AI handling all the mundane, giving us more time to laugh, cook, philosophize, and create beautiful things with friends and family. Now it looks like artists, who already face an uphill battle, get to compete with soulless robots who have endless data on what we love to listen to, read, and view.
